8 Bit Drider

I made these tonight after making up a set of Ape Escape inspired sprites, all and these from scratch.

I colored it with bright colors so you could see the patterns clearly.

I like how it came out. Especially the Dead sprite. I just felt like a missing head had to be used there...

The "Win" sprite (if this was used in an RPG) is simply it tapping its foot.

I dubbed it "Drider" since the dark skin, red eyes, and spider body I randomly made called to mind the Driders of modern fantasy. Drows themselves were more of a pixie-like race rather than tall elves. I have a doodle of a classic Drow somewhere in the pile of papers next to my bed... If I find it, I'll upload it.
